    "This is useful on hot pressed paper with all sorts of imitation and metal leaf, it gives a better result than any of the other gilding mediums. Usually, need only 1 coat. Can sometimes (with great care!!) be built up like a cushion to give the impression of gesso. However, it doesn't hold the shine on the gold forever. (I never use these things with real gold)."
