This calligraphy writing paper is smooth, it has a decent grammage (the weight of paper) but it's still semi translucent, which means you can see through the guideline easily, can be written on both sides. It's ideal for pointed & broad nib calligraphy as well as brush lettering. 

This paper accepts inks well with no feathering, carefully tested with sumi ink, walnut ink and most fountain pen inks. Suitable for both beginners and professionals.
